Take A Compliment Being Brave Cake For Breakfast Someone Great Reminders
Hi. It’s me… Rosie! I have already written a few posts on here so I suppose it’s about time I properly introduce myself and tell you a little bit about who I am. =)
Someday I am going to be a Dance/Movement Therapist! I’m not sure why that is the first thing I decided to tell you; I guess I’ve just been thinking a lot about it lately. Currently I have been taking time away from school (college) but am hoping to go back soon. I am craving to see where I end up some day in the grown, grown up world!
I am absolutely stubborn yet definitely sweet. I love having silly talks with friends and cherish the times when we can have deep honest heart to heart conversations. I adore sparkly snow… When sparkles fall from the sky leaving nothing but a beautiful glittery wonderland! It’s my favorite! I live in Wisconsin so you would think I get to see the sparkly snow quite often, but sadly it just dumps snow-snow on us most of the time. I am easily amused- you could probably never bore me! My latest simple amusement was a super squeaky cupboard door! Yes. I’m weird. I like going on random adventures with friends, having epic light up sword fights in parks, moments of non-stop laughter, themed skype dates, in the moment pictures, cuddly blankets, facial expressions, being known as Wosie by little kids, twirling candy canes around my finger, and smiley strangers! Well, that was a random combo of stuff I like for you! While these things don’t nearly begin to touch who I really am, they at least give you a tiny glimpse of the awesome things in my world.
Not everything is always awesome though. Struggles are a part of my world just like anyone else’s. Trying to decide which struggle of mine to share with you was hard in itself. I’m not one to easily admit and share struggles, but I’m working on that! The one I am going to share with you is one I think people can easily relate to. Self confidence .. or lack thereof. I have had such horrible self confidence in myself for so long! It is downright annoying and frustrating. I feel like I have missed out on so many opportunities and good things in my life all because I never had the faith or confidence in myself to believe that I could. I know I deserve better than what I let myself achieve or let myself believe. Slowly I have been trying to recognize how ridiculous my self-demeaning way of thinking is and not let it hold me captive anymore. I can achieve great things, I can believe in myself, and I can throw those stinky self-confidence stealing thoughts and feelings away!
I look forward to the posts I get to share with you- hopefully they touch you and your heart in some way!

“You don’t need anything more in your life to be someone great….”
Have you ever looked at the lives of people around you and then came back to yourself with a yucky feeling inside questioning why you don’t have what they have or how you could be at such a different place in life than them? *raises hand* I have. It’s part jealousy – part insecurity.
I have looked at my friends’ lives and compared my own life to theirs only seeing the positives in their own and the negatives in mine. I saw how far ahead some of them were in their schooling, in their careers (yes, careers, not just jobs), and life in general. I thought how did I mess everything up so much to end up where I am? ..So far from where I thought I should be and where society said I should be. I was mad at myself and comparing myself to others success only made things worse.
Are you comparing yourself to someone else or someone else’s accomplishments? If so, Stop! When we do things like that we are only hurting ourselves. I came to realize that looking at my life in such a way that could only make me wish I had more to prove of myself was pretty ridiculous. It doesn’t matter where I am in life or what I have accomplished at this point in time- None of those things make me more or less loveable and the same goes for you.
You don’t need anything more in your life to be someone great, or to be more valued, or to have a better looking life— You are already worth so much more than you can imagine. Where you’re at in life does not define your worth.
It can be so easy to fall into a place of self-hate when you compare yourself to others; don’t do that to yourself. When you stop comparing, you open up your world and yourself to a newfound freedom that gives you the magic and the beauty to just be yourself!
Love yourself where you are, for who you are.

Have you ever been around someone and everything they said was just so negative? It’s like they weren’t grateful for anything in life. The more that person kept talking, the more negative you probably started feeling. The words that come out of our mouths have power whether we realize it or not. Whether our words are good or bad, we give life to what we say. The moment you say negative things, they effect your future. You can’t talk defeat and expect to have victory, meaning, if you tell yourself that you’re never going to lose that weight or pass that class, you probably won’t. You’re telling yourself that it’s not going to happen so that leaves you with no motivation. Another important thing to think about is believe what you say about yourself more than anyone else. Start focusing only on the good things about yourself. You can’t change what’s already been made so be thankful and happy with the body you have! All of us are different and uniquely beautiful in our own way. :)
Bottom line, in life there are a lot of things against us, don’t be against you! It’s not too late to start being positive.
So.. I have a feeling that some of you reading this are not going to appreciate what I have to say, but bear with me! It will be for your own good =)
Are you ready for this? …I am ordering you to eat cake for breakfast! (I mean you don’t have to, but you should!)
The other day I was trying to figure out what to have for breakfast and none of the normal breakfast foods sounded appealing. I ended up with a piece of homemade banana cake with caramel frosting on my plate. It was very tasty! I like to think it was even somewhat healthy since it had bananas in it!
Regardless of the type of cake you have, it’s there for your enjoyment- not punishment.
I know there are some of you out there who are not scared of desserts/sweets at all, and that is a good thing! However, I know there are some of you who would do anything to stay away from them. You are only hurting yourself by fighting so hard to stay away from desserts and the foods you used to love. If you feel you cannot have a piece of cake for breakfast, then go grab a friend and share some dessert together while enjoying each other’s company! Who doesn’t need girl time?
Think about it- What kind of a day could ever go wrong when you start it with a piece of cake or treat yourself to something sweet!?
Go ahead, have that piece of cake. You deserve it!
