Dearest,
I can feel it. The air getting caught in your chest. the weight forcing itself upon you, making the bones beneath you weak. I can feel the questions rising. What’s wrong with me? Why doesn’t he love me? I can feel the hope draining out of your heart.
Wether its a raw wound or an old whispering one.
You can’t seem to escape those questions.
But, do you know what I know?
That you are not reading this by mistake.
That you my dearest, are so worth loving!
That after the ground has been broken, only then beauty flourishes.
I know that you were made for bold and beautiful things.
That I honor you for loving so passionately and that one day a man will risk loving you that fully.
I want you to know that I’ve been there only a few months ago, that the pain I felt was so deep it threatened to split my bones.
Yet here I am, waking in the night to tell you:
You are far more strong and worth it then you dare to believe!
Let me say it again.
YOU ARE WORTH LOVING! YOU ARE STRONG!
Read it as many times as it takes to sink in.
Will you dare to believe?
Have you ever walked in a room and thought that every girl in there was better looking than you?
You start looking around and wishing you had that girl’s perfectly straight hair, her designer clothes, or her skinny figure. Your self-esteem suddenly drops by the second. After all this comparing, you start to resent the girl that you think is prettier than you. I don’t know if that happens to you, but it sure is something I struggle with. I constantly feel the need to compare myself to every girl I see. It’s human nature for girls not to be fully satisfied with the way they look. There’s that ONE thing we want to change about our appearance. The media is constantly telling us what we should look like and that the only way we can be considered “beautiful” is if we look like the celebrities. So how do we escape all this bitterness towards ourselves and our self-esteem? Accept how you were made. I know it’s easier said than done…but if it’s something you really want, then you need a drastic change in mindset. YOU are your biggest critic. Start by complimenting yourself when you look in the mirror. Focus on the good things about you. Find out WHAT’S threatening you. Be realistic, instead of being jealous of someone, look at them and smile knowing that you are blessed too.

It’s Eryns birthday and she wanted to share this day with her entire SWL family. That is why we are having a sale on all of our Nuts and Bolts tees! If you look closely at the shirt it says “established for you and established by you”- We believe that we all can choose whether or not we are worthy of love.
We can not control what other people say about us but we can control our response. Tell yourself you are worthy of love. Believe it. Know it.
Happy people dont…
be yourself and no one else.
Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you.

It’s a cozy kind-of-day here in Atlanta, Georgia. Its rainy, thundering, cold, cloudy, and a perfect day to wear an oversized sweater. Sometimes you need a day like this to throw your hair up, wear a comfy long-sleeve, wrap yourself up in a blanket, pop a movie in and paint your nails.. that to me is bliss. Love you by treating yourself to some you time.
“Self love is so vital to me because living in the world today is anything but easy.”
As a girl, I am constantly being told what to wear, how to look, how to feel, what to eat, (or what not to eat) & to have a big smile on my face while doing all of this. After a while, everyone sort of blends in with each other & you can’t tell what’s real & what’s an illusion. After years of everyone telling you who you should be, you begin to lose sight of who you actually are. I was one of the biggest offenders until one day, I woke up & decided that I wasn’t going to blend in any longer. On Friday January, 13th 2012- I got my fourth tattoo on my right wrist that says “so worth loving”. Now, every time I see or hear something that is telling me what I should be, how i should look, how I should feel, or who I should love, I look at my wrist & remind myself not to get caught up with what everyone’s opinion of me is & remain true to myself. It can get extremely lonely out there & having a positive self image 100% of the time is near impossible, but if you just keep your chin up & tell yourself once a day that you are indeed So Worth Loving, those opinions that you care so much about will simply disappear from your mind & that’s when you can start exercising self love & empowerment. Some pretty amazing things can happen when you truly love yourself for who you are. You ARE unique. You ARE beautiful. You ARE loved. I am Aimee McClellan, & I am SO WORTH LOVING.
DIY HEART SHIRT BECAUSE YOU ARE WORTH LOVING.
Hey Everyone!
When I think of the month of February, I think of unreal amounts of pink, red, hearts, and of course, a single girl’s most dreaded holiday. This holiday can evoke feelings of excitement or feelings of dread. One feeling it should never evoke is feeling that you are unworthy of love. It is easy to get caught up in the pressure of having plans with a significant other or that if you don’t you have to spend the day alone at home watching reruns of friends.
To me, Valentines day isn’t just defined by spending the evening at an over crowded restaurant and receiving flowers, cheesy greeting cards, and chocolates. No, for me this holiday is about reminding my close friends how much I love them and how blessed I am to have them in my life. It is about reminding myself that I have come a long way and have a lot to be proud of. It is about reinforcing the idea that I am So Worth Loving and I deserve to spend the evening reminding myself of that. So here is how I plan to celebrate my Valentines’ day. With my best friend making these awesome shirts and reminding myself that I am So Worth Loving every time I wear it and every Valentines’ Day- date or no date!
Now if you are a fashion geek like me, there is a chance you have seen this trend of oversized hearts everywhere! Unfortunately, most of them cost an arm and a leg!! However, our DIY Heart shirt costs less than $10!!!
Supplies:
Here’s how it works:
Trace a heart pattern onto a piece of paper and cut it out. Then trace that onto the piece of felt and cut it out. AND then trace that onto the fusible web and cut it out.
(See I told you this was cake!)
After you have traced onto the fusible web and cut it out, place the fusible web onto the felt. Be very gentle it can tear easily, if it does tear it isn’t a big deal just be sure to fill in any empty spots with the webbing.
Then you are ready to iron. Start by ironing the front (the felt side). I ironed it for a good 10 minutes to be sure it was sticking. Then I flipped the shirt inside out and ironed for another 10 minutes. Then YOU ARE FINISHED!!! Rock your shirt and when people as you about it- remind them too that they are So Worth Loving this Valentine’s day!
**If you want, you can send your heart through the sewing machine to ensure that it will stay on!
don’t forget!!
